Kara Tiede-Kabir, Owner

Kara has always been fascinated by the bodies amazing ability to heal and adapt to its environment. After suffering from chronic migraines as an adolescent Kara sought out the help of a massage therapist in her hometown. It just so happened that the therapist specialized in Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy. Kara was instantly hooked and found herself returning regularly, not only for the benefits, but for more information about the technique as well.

In 2002 she graduated from Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics, in Alexandria, IN with the advanced certification in Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy (PDMT). Immediately following graduation she went on to own and operate a massage clinic in Rensselaer, IN before moving to Bloomington, IL in 2005.

After moving Kara was looking to further her education in the natural healing profession and became a Chiropractic Assistant at Kabir Center for Health. She quickly fell in love with the Chiropractic philosophy and it has become part of her mission to properly educate her clients and community the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. In 2009 she received her certification in Nutrition Response Testing. This is a precise and scientific way of testing the body's neurological reflexes to find what nutritional deficiencies and/or toxicities may be directly preventing the client's body from healing and adapting appropriately.  

Kara is currently a Reiki Master Apprentice. She studied the Usui System of Natural Healing through Karen Ridinger, Reiki Master (First Degree), and Richard Casey, Reiki Master (Second Degree & Mastery Apprenticeship). Kara's years of experience with hands on healing opened the door for Reiki to enter her life. Reiki is instinctive to everyone, however Kara has chosen to commit herself to this practice.

Over the past six years Kara has been working with chiropractors and other health care practitioners in the area in assisting their patient's in obtaining their health goals.  She is passionate about her profession and hopes this is received by her client's and community through the power of touch.
