Reiki

REIKI (pronounced RAY-key)

TRUTH:

  • it is one of the most ancient healing methods known to mankind
  • it is a Japanese word meaning "Breath of Spirit"; REI (Universal Life) KI (Energy)
  • it is a natural, simple, non-invasive method which accesses the source of Life to enhance healing on the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels
  • it is beneficial in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote an accelerated recovery process
  • it replenishes and balances the energy, especially in chronic conditions
  • it is instinctive!...every one knows innately how to use Reiki (place our hand over an injury)
  • it is empowering!...it awakens the inner self and opens the mind to the necessity for taking responsibility for one's own life

MYTH:

  • it is not a religion, nor is it about any belief system
  • it is not capable of misuse, intentional harm and does not drain energy from the healer
  • it is not a substitute for traditional medical or psychological treatment

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our LIGHT, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, & fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won't feel insecure around you. You are born to manifest the glory of God that is within you. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own LIGHT shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
